On Work/Business Experience
Volkswagen South Africa gave him the opportunity to practice diagnostic prowess. Goodyear South Africa gave him the people, process and systems
management lenses. Nampak planted the seed in him for organisation design and development capability and the other facets of the people business. National Brands, part of the Anglovaal Industries Group, gave him the foundation skills for generalist human capital management. At the
South African Revenue Services (SARS) he learnt to deal with macroeconomic level of leadership and working with complexity of policy development, administration and enforcement thereof. It is at the SARS where he developed the appetite for value curation and management consulting and coaching. He reached the height of his career as a public servant of the new SA. He became the Interim Managing Director at Kaizer Chiefs, from the 1st of March 2013 to the 30th of September 2013.

On Executive and Leadership Coaching
Over the years, Goodnews’ professional and leadership journey took him from electro‐technical engineering to manufacturing management, human capital management, public policy, tax administration and lately, management consulting and executive coaching. He coached at the SARS, Eskom & Transnet, SANBS, ABSA including UNISA and as a mentor on the ABASA program. He begins by developing the capability to diagnose and problem-‐‐solve with very narrow margin for creativity. He has learned that answers are no longer obvious and the margin of error can be disastrous if he does not work with the benefit of collective probity.
